urs schmidt design is a Swiss creative studio specializing in visual identity, corporate publishing and art direction for both small companies and multinationals, public and cultural institutions.
Founded in 2014 by Urs Schmidt, the studio is dedicated to delivering smart and inspired solutions that combine conceptual inventiveness and technical know-how. 25 years of experience add the necessary global perspective to every project.
Our approach is geared towards a deep understanding of our clients and to the objectives of the project, including a straight-forward dialogue that often results in long-term relationships.
Born in Basel, Switzerland, Urs Schmidt is a graphic designer, art director and founder of urs schmidt design.
After graduating in graphic design at the Ecole cantonale des Beaux-arts et des arts appliqués in Lausanne, he furthers his education as a graphic designer and illustrator at the New York School of Visual Arts.
Following his return to Switzerland, he co-founded the design and communication agency messi & schmidt.
In 2014, he decided to follow his own path and founded his own design studio, urs schmidt design.
He is also renowned for his images called photo-graphics, that combine photography, graphic design and typography.
